Portable Thermographic system for industry and research

VarioCAM®, a new development of the German manufacturer JENOPTIK Laser, Optik, Systeme GmbH, is a rugged hand-held thermographic system based on the latest generation of uncooled FPA detectors.

Portable use

The handy thermographic system VarioCAM® has been designed for portable use and can easily be operated with one hand.
A complete system weighs just 2.2 kg and its rugged light metal housing (IP54) allows operation even under tough environmental conditions.
The latest, quick charged Li-Ion batteries and a very low power consumption provide a running time of up to 3h on a single battery charge.

VarioCAM® is a modular thermographic system and is offered in various versions according to its application.

Easy handling

The system is designed for easy use: a joystick and user-friendly arranged buttons offer a direct access to main functions and a clearly arranged menu. Numerous AUTO functions assist the operator and help to concentrate on the measuring process.
A very bright 3.8" colour display provides a high-contrast, very detailed image. The continuous 4.2 x digital zoom allows a differentiated and exact fault analysis of any measured object.
The 16-bit thermo data is stored on a removable CF-card. With the optional FireWire interface it is possible to operate the camera by remote control and to transfer all data in real-time to a computer.

Software

The 32-bit-software series IRBIS® is a powerful tool for thermographic analysis, running under Windows 98/NT/2000/XP. This software, developed by InfraTec, is available in various versions according to its industrial application. It offers an online- and offline-analysis as well as a tool for conveniently creating thermographic reports.

IRBIS® plus and IRBIS® professional offer extensive possibilities to analyse and document stored sequences of thermal images. Change measuring parameters subsequently and create professional thermographic reports with the integrated report generator in no time.

IRBIS® online grabs a stream of thermal images in real-time over the optional FireWire interface. It is available for Windows 2000/XP.

Universal field of application

As the VarioCAM® has a wide temperature measuring range it is suited for a wide range of applications; from predictive maintenance at electrical plants and mechanical assemblies, over process monitoring to quality assurance.

Various additional optics, a large assortment of accessories and powerful thermographic analysis software can solve multifaceted tasks in industry and research.
